He soon realizes that he cannot manage everything alone, including taking care of his son Janíček, who now lacks a mother, so he decides to marry a new woman. At first, the new wife appears caring, but soon jealousy and hatred toward her stepson take hold. One fateful day, she attempts to cast Janíček into the abyss — will he survive this fall?
